About Gesso

Gesso makes painted wallpapers for MacBook and PC from a small studio in Stockholm. Every album is a short series around one feeling: power in a suit, a Riviera summer, a garage at midnight.

How the paintings are made

Gesso creates its images. Some are created or processed with AI, then selected, corrected and upscaled until they hold up on a real 5K screen. We look at every painting at full size before it goes into an album, and we throw away far more than we keep.

What you pay for

Sharpness and selection. Files are larger than the screens they are made for, and each painting comes cut for Mac and PC around the subject. Phone, iPad and ultrawide versions are on the way and will be added to what you own. Pay once and the files stay yours; take everything and every future album is included.
